True object of the architectural and musical heritage, this organ, néo-classique, was built between 1957 and 1966 by the Danion-Gonzalez establishments and was raised by 3 sections per Bernard Dargassies in 1989 .
The organ was inaugurated on February 17, 1967 by Gaston Litaize.
The only instrument of this height existing in a concert hall, it took part to the great musical hours of the room Olivier Messian from Radio France to Paris.
Its composition allows a versatility in the interpretation of the musical repertory and its world famous is associated with organists such as Marcel Dupre, Olivier Messiaen, Jean Langlais, Gaston Litaize, Pierre Cochereau, Jean Guillou or Thierry Escaich. |
